Kadyn's 2009 Dance Recital

Kadyn had her 2009 dance recital on the 31st. She was in 4 different dances... Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Lyrical. She did a great job! I know some of the pictures are blurry-- but she was in motion and I couldn't use a flash during the performance!!

This is the tap ...they had trays like a 50's diner.. complete with milkshakes!


Jazz was the same costume... but this time they had pizza boxes.... this was a great dance!


Ballet-- to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" She was quite graceful!

This was the Lyrical.... The outfit was adorable!!! I truly LOVE this dance!!

Kadyn is going to competition at the end of this month doing the Lyrical and Tap dance! I will be sure to post updates after!!

Dylan's Swim Lessons

Dylan has been taking swim lessons the past few days.... Here are a few pictures of him. He was so stubborn the first day and would not do a thing! Since then and a come to Jesus talk.... he is having a blast and getting better each time!

Science Fair

Kadyn asked to enter the Science Fair at school this year. It is required for 4th-6th graders, but anyone is able to participate. I convinced her we needed to start small this year so she could learn the process. She did a great job!! Here are pictures of her completed science board and first place ribbon!! She was one of only two 2nd graders that entered the fair this year. I am so proud of her!!!

My sister's Bday

Today-- ok technically yesterday now (it is 12:30 am), was my sister's birthday. I had all 4 kids at the house tonight so she and her hubby could have a date night.

Dinner-- the staple-- McDonald's!

The kids played SO well together! It is so fun to see them all interact now. They truly enjoy each other.




After much playing, jammies were put on and we put in a movie. I pulled the couch out and made a "movie theater" for them. Popcorn was eaten and eaten... and eaten. My mom even came over for awhile and got in on the movie as well.



I had a great time tonight. I truly am so blessed with my own kids... as well as a wonderful nephew and niece. I am sure the niece on the way will only add to the blessing!

My Nephew's Spring Fling

My nephew's preschool had a spring sing. The kids and I went. I was so excited to go see him in his world. I have heard so many wonderful things about his school and how well he does. He obviously loves his school, his teachers, his friends. My nephew has been given the awesome privelege of being an example of how good our God is....he faces challenges that some of us do not... and yet God continues to shine through him. He keeps rising to the challenges and overcoming them. He has come so far this past year..... being on the stage.... singing loudly and enjoying it! It blessed my heart to be there-- to see him and experience life through his eyes.

Gardening

I am learning how to "garden." I actually enjoyed it-- the kids wanted to get in on the fun.... they both got a marigold of their own. My mom came to help teach me....we had a good time! I hope I can keep everything alive!




I need to take more pictures.... we have had so much rain lately that the flowers are already much bigger-- when the rain lets up.... I will get some new ones!

This is my splurge-- I wanted some color right at our door. I saw this pot and really liked it. I really am afraid I am going to kill this one!
