Reading Buddies

I have been reading fanatically the past week... I got sucked into the Twilight series and read over 2400 pages in 7 days!! Sick I know!

Kadyn got a new book yesterday-- so we both sat reading this afternoon.

Eric just laughs at us!!

We had our first family movie night on Saturday night. We popped in WALL.E. The kids were excited-- and then Dylan lost his interest about 45 minutes into the movie. It was still fun... I look forward to doing it again soon!

Christmas Decorations 2008

Here is the tree--decorated by the kids--- here are the lights on the outside of the house put up by Eric and his brother Michael. One thing a year is what we will add now that we own our own house.

Thanksgiving Day 2008

We had a fun filled day this year... as usual! We started at my parent's house. Dad was not there-- he was in B-ham surprising his mother for her birthday. Clay's parents and sister were in town.. so we had a large feast. Then our family went to Eric's mom and husband's for dinner. We were stuffed by the time the day was through- but we had a GREAT time! Here are a few pictures from the day.

Dylan's Thanksgiving Feast

I don't usually get to a lot with Dylan at his school. Most things happen while I am at school myself. I was SO excited when they had their class Thanksgiving feast on a day when Kadyn and I were out of school. Dylan was quite happy as well. We got there and he and his friends were in paper bag vests and indian bands they had made. The kids did not leave these on very long-- they were ready to eat!

This is Ms. Treasure and Dylan. And the next is Dylan hiding between the mats.. he should not have been there-- I am glad I caught the sure look of delight on his face!

Here is Dylan and his friend Preston. His mom and I tried over and over to get a good picture of the two of them together.... this was the best I got!

It was fun to be a part of Dylan's world for a bit!

Pie Making

Thanksgiving is just not Thanksgiving to me without lemon and chocolate pies. Mom- my grandmother makes delicious pies!! This year-- I was in charge of desserts... so here is the proof that I made pies this year.....4 of them!! Kadyn loved helping me... to make things even better-- they were good!!

Can't leave Dylan out

So there are 2 posts about Kadyn.... but I did not want to leave Dylan out! We got the proof of his school picture this week! I can't wait to get it back..... my he is growing up! Here he is sleeping this afternoon. He fought going down... but in the end sleep won. He isn't feeling well.... the weather is not helping his cold. Still- there will not be moments like this much longer-- no matter how big he gets... he will ALWAYS be my baby boy!

Have you seen Tom Turkey?

Tom Turkey is in hiding....... He is on the run..... Secret Agent "T" showed up at our house today. A strong resemblance to Tom.... but still not sure it is him! Kadyn introduced me and promises us he is NOT Tom the Turkey!

We had fun disguising Tom today!! SHHH.... don't ruin his dusguise!

Holiday Magic

The beginning of the holiday season is here-- early for me-- but still it is here! Kadyn had the opportunity to dance at Holiday Magic with The Dance Centre. All the ages danced-- it was fun... and of course-- she loved it! Here are a few pictures.... and a video.

Halloween 2008

This year, we headed over to the church GrannyLou has been going to. They had a HUGE carnival... TONS of bounce houses, lots of candy-- and fun for everyone! GrannyLeen, Bob, Uncle David and Uncle Mikey joined in on the fun!!!
