Family Night at FBCA 2008

Last Sunday night was Family Night at church. Since this is our first Christmas since beginning to attend, this was our first experience. We were told it would be wonderful and the night did not disappoint! There was ots of great singing, funny videos, and crowd involvement! Kadyn and I had a wonderful time and can't wait until next year!

Kadyn with the Grinch and and Elf.

Frosty

The Elf and the Host for the Evening-- saying ACTION!

Elvis was in the building--- right after the Christmas Hop.

Some of the great singing.

The kids were all given a stocking that held severa props. Since the theme was America's Funniest Videos, the kids were given glasses like the stars, a megaphone in which they counted down... 5.4.3.2.1.... and then they all yelled ACTION!

The choirs....

The Host

We had a great time !!!!!!

Class Parties

I got lucky this year and got to go to both kids class parties. Kadyn's party was while my kids were out of the class! Dylan's started after we got out early!! Here are some pictures from them both.

Dylan and his best buddy Preston. Here is Kadyn reading to Dylan.

Kadyn's class had a word search that had everyone name in their class. It was a hit!

I was given 2 tickets to the Nutcracker. My mom LOVES The Nutcracker--and Kadyn LOVES ballet. So, the 2 of them went. Here is Kadyn eagerly waiting their departure. They had a great time......

Random Post

Christmas Break has officially started! How nice it will be to not hear the alarm go off on Monday morning!! Kadyn and I will enjoy a bit more sleep.... Dylan will go to his preschool a few days each week. He loves his friends and misses them when he is not with them. Eric will be off work 3 days over Christmas!! Here are a few things that have happened lately...

Kadyn was a part of the sing a long we had a school. She helped 2 of the 2nd grade teachers and some friends sing "Up on the Housetop." This was in front of the entire school!!

Dylan got busy helping daddy "fix" the chair. Eric was trying to tighten something up. Dylan went and got several of his own tools and began helping as well.

Dylan was long overdue on a haircut. We go to the "hair doctor" as he calls it. He loves it because there are movies and video games. He "plays" while Kadyn gets her hair cut.

Here is our other child Dolly. She is also in dire need of a haircut. That will hopefully be coming this week.

I will have some more pictures soon of Dylan and Kadyn's school Christmas parties.

Prairie Lights 2008

This is becoming a family tradition. Prairie Lights ..... over a mile drive through of all kinds of light ensembles. There is everything from Santa's Workshop, Rudolph's Flying School to the Nativity. There is a stop toward the end where you can get out and enjoy 2 free carnival rides, carnival food and of course a picture with Santa himself. We went last year and had a great time! This year was no exception. I didn't get many pictures of the lights themselves because I was driving. Here are a few right at the end-- the light tunnel is the conclusion of the experience.

My camera started acting up while we were there. I was just shooting pictures while everyone was on the merry go round. I had not idea if they were coming out-- they looked terrible on my screen. However, some of them turned out not too badly-considering they were going at a warp speed!

We attempted another family photo with Santa while we were there. It turned out to be quite cute! The kids also had their picture taken with Santa. Now we don't have to go battle the mall!

Kadyn Dancing at Ridgmar Mall 2008

Kadyn gets to dance at least twice during the Christmas season. Here are pictures from her second performance at Ridgmar Mall. Lots of the family came out to see her-- along with Ms. Margaret.

Jonathan had a great time dancing along with each of the groups.

The boys had a good time seeing things from a higher perspective.

Here is Kadyn " teaching" Jonathan. The other is a picture of mom and Ms. Margaret.
