Zoo Time Fun

The kids and I went to the zoo today. We had a super time. The favorites were the elephants for Dylan and the giraffes for Kadyn. Dylan did get quite excited about all the snakes as well. Kadyn got a kick out of the fact that the gorilla was the same height as Dylan sitting down! They fed the birds, brushed a goat, and we ended the day with a train ride. As I think back, I think the train ride was probably the highlight for Dylan! I am sure we will back at the zoo soon! The last picture tells you how much fun we had! Dylan is wiped out on the way home!

A Rare Moment

Dylan hardly ever sits still anymore. He does not like too rock in someones lap- he has to be too still. So when he asked me the other night to rock him I jumped at the opportunity! It was a sweet moment for me- one I will ponder for the years to come!

Pool Time Fun

The kids had a good time playing in the backyard in the kiddie pool. Kadyn is really getting too big for this pool, but she is so good about playing with Dylan. You can see the sheer delight in his face!

Dylan's Birthday Party

Dylan had a Choo Choo theme for his party this year. We had 11 kids in the backyard playing. All went well. Each kid had their own choo choo cake and got a conductor hat and whistle. Dylan had a great time! My mom got a picture of all the kids with their hats on at one time-I will have to post that picture later!

Thomas the Train

I gave Dylan a Thomas the Train pop up play tent for his birthday. He loves it. He and Kadyn get in it and go all over saying chug a chug a! I honestly had never imagined that hey would literally make the train move- I imagined a stationary train- well-not our Thomas- our Thomas has legs!! This has also become a place they go to read their "special books" right before bed. The last picture is one I took looking down through the top of the train at this sweet time!

Two Years Old!!!

Dylan turned 2 on Friday, June 1. It is hard to believe that 2 years have gone by since first holding you! What joy you have brought to me, to your sister- to your entire family. You have such a sweet heart Dylan. You are full of life and full of adventure! You have a curiosity about life that is so fun to watch. My dear sweet boy, I thank God for you each day!

At his 2 year check up- Dylan was 37 inches and 30 pounds- somewhere in the vicinity. He had trouble standing still on the scale! He wanted to see the balloons that were under his feet! He is a big boy for his age the doctor says. He comes by that naturally- not by my side of the family obviously- but on his daddy's side. We love you Dylan!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Ballet Recital

Kadyn had her 2nd recital. We were not supposed to take pictures during the recital- but I managed to catch one of the girl's as they were waiting to practice. Dylan did as well as you could expect and active 2 year old to do in a ballet recital! Kadyn did a great job! Her improvement over the past 2 years was quite obvious! I was such a proud mama!!

New Swingset

We put in a swing set in during the middle of the rain. It was so hard for the kids to not go play on it. One morning- it was not raining and out they went in their pj's. Dylan cannot quite get up on the hard swing yet- he pulls himself off the back. So- he found a way to swing with the help of his sister. He loves the slide as well. I am sure this swingset will be well worn in by the end of the summer!

Vaccuum Anyone?

Ok- I now have blackmail pictures when my kids get older! Dylan loves to vaccuum. HE will run to the closet where we keep it and pull it out! he even has Kadyn joining in-and she used to HATE the sound!

Fun in the Pool-right after the rain

It seemed as if it rained here for weeks! One afternoon- the rain stopped and the kids went out-I heard their squeals of laughter as the played in the slight amount of water that had collected in the bottom of the pool from the rain that morning. It was so fun to watch them when they had no idea I was looking! Of course- they were a bit worried they were in trouble since they were fully clothed! We did have a talk about being in the poole without an adult around- but to be honest I am glad they had their one moment!

Kadyn Rene Kline- 2007 Kindergarten Graduate

Ok- so I have to take this time to go overboard with the pictures. My baby graduated from Kindergarten today! I do not know how to begin to describe the feelings I have right now. There is such pride--such joy in her and all she has done this year! Yet there is such heartache as well. My baby is growing up. My baby is going through life- just as she should be...yet this is where my heartache comes in. What do I mean? The times of her needing me is beginning to fade- yes- she is only going to be 6 in a month- but it is beginning. This is the way we want it- the way it should be- but yet it hurts...... So bear with me as I share the many pictures of my first born-- my princess--Kadyn Rene Kline, Kindergarten Graduate 2007!!!!

A FIrst-- A milestone!

Kadyn lost her first tooth right after school today. It has been loose for quite some time! Just yesterday, Grannylou said, I bet that tooth is out tomorrow! I was in another teacher's room and Kadyn walked in with a worried look on her face. I asked her what was wrong and she opened her mouth. There was a bit of blood and she jsut sat down. She would not let me touch her- so I told her to wiggle her tooth and well..... out in fell-- literally laying on her gum! She was SO excited!! She even went to bed early tonight- since the tooth fairy is coming!

One of those moments

I had several "moments" today. You know the ones where you look at your kids and you realize how quickly they are growing up. The one with Kadyn was posted above-- the one with Dylan- well it wasn't anything he did-- he is beginning to show his "two" side. His stubborn and strong willed side is definitely coming out. He lets you know when he is not wanting to do something. This afternoon was one of those times- he decided he was done riding bikes. I asked him to help me take the bik back home- and well he didn't want to! Here are the pictures of him sitting while he thought about what choice he was going to make......looks like such a boy now- not a baby anymore!

Bike Riding- or something along that line!

The weather has been so nice in the afternoons that we are taking advantage of it! The kids love to be outdoors. Kadyn loves to ride her bike- although she needs a new one! She has taken a growth spurt! The seat is as high as it will go! Dylan-- well his bike riding is--well pick it up and walk! He loves to be out there with Kadyn. We have a pole that we push the back of his tricycle. Still he is in the "Dylan do it" stage- so he walks!!

Working with Pop

While the kids were outside playing, Pop was helping out a f amily a few doors down. Dylan went to help him as he swept!

Pop- your head is sweating!!!

Ok= so Dylan saw the cigar-- of course he wanted to see what it was and hold it!! WAY TOO EARLY FOR ME!!! I am sure Clay and Pop are quite excited- as will be cousin Kyle and Jason!

Potty News!

Dylan asked to go to the potty and actually went-in the big potty! He was so proud of himself! No- I will not share pictures== but we are so excited! It is the beginning of the end of diapers!!
